Once upon a time, I used to be one of the most well known face painters in Canada’s Capital.
It happened sort of by accident.
I was looking for a part time job while in college and I fell in love with the art, the rhythm, and the sparkles.
Life as a professional face painter is special because your a part of peoples positive memories. The day at the fair, the birthday party, or the office dinner… Those moments stay with you and make you smile when you think about them.
I’ve painted tens of thousands of faces in my life time. The pace was crazy at times. Some days I’d rush to multiple events in the same day and other days I would paint for 12 hours straight.
Things sure have changed a lot for me in the last couple of years.
Remember that day when every festival and public event in the world was cancelled?
It was 2020.
That was a big day for me.
I currently live in Teotihuacan Mexico with my husband and baby. I still paint both locally and internationally when I’m travelling.
